FTE: 1.0, Shift: Days, Schedule: 8am-4:30pm

Position Summary

The Electronic Billing Specialist is responsible for reviewing electronic claim forms and reports rejected by electronic billing systems to identify and provide necessary or missing information for daily resubmittal to insurance carriers. The incumbent reconciles electronic transmission reports; contacts patients, insurance companies and/or physicians to obtain necessary information; verifies coding and inputs billing data into multiple computer systems.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Vocational or medical terminology course work preferred
• Minimum two (2) years billing experience or three years general clerical experience
