We’re looking for a Head of SAP Application Management and Support to join our team in Copenhagen and play a critical role in the evolution of Satair’s SAP application landscape.

The position will be located in Copenhagen, Denmark.

What the job is …

The Head of SAP Application Management and Support reports to the Head of SAP OEM and Master Data and is part of the SAP Management Team, which also includes the Head of ERP Operations and Integrations and the Head of Master Data. Together, the management team ensures end-to-end excellence across Satair’s SAP landscape - from operations and integrations to master data and application management - enabling a stable, scalable, and future-ready digital foundation for the business.

Join us as Head of SAP Application Management and Support, and drive adoption, promote best practices, and ensure that Satair maximizes the business value and operational benefits from its SAP environment. You’ll lead a skilled team of subject matter experts and manage a key outsourcing partnership, ensuring stable, efficient, and innovative IT services that support Satair’s global operations and digital transformation.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of 8 IT System Analysts (subject matter experts) fostering a high-performance culture and strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Ensure effective portfolio and project management across SAP-related initiatives — from prioritization and planning to execution and delivery — securing alignment with business needs, governance processes, and resource capacity.

  • Oversee the full lifecycle of our SAP and related applications - from development and operation to continuous improvement and retirement.

  • Act as a key advocate for SAP excellence within Satair — fostering collaboration between business and IT, influencing stakeholders, and continuously exploring how new SAP capabilities can support future business goals.

  • Manage vendor performance, governance, and project and service delivery with our global partners for Application Management services.

  • Establish and maintain a robust framework to ensure effective application management throughout the entire application life cycle.

  • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity, licensing, and regulatory requirements, and align with Airbus policies and operating standards.

  • Support strategic transformation initiatives with solid SAP and application management expertise and contribute actively to the broader digitalization agenda within Satair and Airbus.

Travel days to be expected are limited - mainly in relation to collaboration with Airbus and vendor meetings.

How will you contribute to the team

As our new Head of SAP Application Management and Support, you bring a strong background in application management within SAP/ERP environments. You have experience leading both internal teams and outsourced setups, you have practical experience with ITIL and know how to balance transformation with operational stability.

You are structured, proactive, and dependable - a leader who builds trust through clear communication and consistent delivery. You value teamwork, encourage knowledge sharing, and foster a culture of learning and accountability. You combine business understanding with technical insight and can translate complex IT concepts into meaningful business outcomes.

You have at least 5 years of leadership experience in application management, strong stakeholder management skills, and an excellent command of both written and spoken English.
