Job Title: Healthcare Assistant (Full-Time)
Location: Clearbrook Nursing Home, Finglas, Dublin, D11CX2T
Pay: From €14.25 per hour
Hours: Fulltime between 42 hours per week

Clearbrook Nursing Home is a family run, modern, purpose-built 90-bed facility based in Finglas, Dublin. We are currently seeking full-time Healthcare Assistants to join our dedicated and supportive team. Our approach to care is guided by four key principles: patient-centred care, meaningful activities, exceptional dining experiences, and strong infection prevention and control standards.

Shift Options

• Day Duty: 7:45am – 7:45pm
• Night Duty: 7:45pm – 7:45am

Full time candidates will work 7-hour shifts per fortnight. Every second weekend working.

Role Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, person-centred care to residents
• Assist with all daily living activities: washing, dressing, dining, mobility and toileting
• Promote dignity, respect and independence at all times
• Observe and report changes in residents’ condition to nursing staff
• Follow manual handling and safety procedures
• Support residents with limited mobility
• Provide intimate and palliative care in line with care plans
• Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment
• Communicate with residents and their families in a warm and professional manner
• Answer call bells promptly
• Assist with meals and hydration
• Escort residents externally when required
• Comply with all policies including health and safety, infection prevention and control, and confidentiality

Requirements

• Leaving Certificate or equivalent
• FETAC/QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support (or equivalent)
• Previous experience working with older people
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Caring and compassionate nature
• Ability to work as part of a team
