About the Role

We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistants/Support Workers to join our team at a reputable Care Residential Home specialising in supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities in the Donegal area. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, person-centered care and support to our residents.

Responsibilities

- Assisting residents with daily activities, including personal care, hygiene, and mobility.

- Administering medication under the supervision of a registered nurse.

- Assisting with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary requirements are met.

- Providing emotional support and companionship to residents.

- Maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents.

- Collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure the overall well-being of residents.

Requirements

- QQI Level 5 or qualification as a Healthcare Assistant.

- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a nursing home or healthcare setting.

- Knowledge of basic medical procedures and protocols.

- Excellent communication in English and interpersonal skills.

- Empathy, compassion, and a genuine desire to help others.
