Health & Safety Senior Officer

The Corbett Group is a rapidly expanding construction company with multiple live sites and a strong pipeline of upcoming projects. We are currently seeking a proactive and experienced Health & Safety Senior Officer to oversee health, safety, and environmental compliance across residential and commercial projects throughout the Mid West.

Role Responsibilities:

• Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation, ISO 45001 standards, and TCG’s Integrated Management System (IMS)
• Conduct site audits, inspections, and risk assessments across multiple live sites
• Manage incident investigations and oversee corrective and preventative action reporting
• Drive continuous improvement of the QEHS management system and ensure effective integration across the business
• Coach and mentor site teams and project managers in best safety practices and legislative compliance
• Manage safety training frameworks and workforce certification requirements
• Support Site Managers and Project Managers in fulfilling their health and safety responsibilities
• Provide regular reports to senior leadership on safety KPIs, legal compliance, and strategic risks

Key Requirements:

• Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a Health & Safety role, preferably within construction
• Relevant Health & Safety qualification (Diploma, Degree, or equivalent)
• Strong knowledge of Irish construction safety legislation and applicable Codes of Practice
• Experience working with ISO 45001 systems and permit-to-work processes
• Proven ability to conduct audits, deliver training, and communicate effectively on site
• Confidence liaising with the HSA and external regulatory bodies when required
• Strong attention to detail, proactive approach, and collaborative mindset
• Full clean Irish driving licence essential
