J & J Equipment Repair is currently looking for a full time Heavy Equipment Mechanic or Apprentice to join our team at our shop in Powassan.

Job Description & Responsibilities:

• Repair and service agricultural and industrial heavy equipment within established time standards
• Maintenance on Agricultural and Heavy Equipment
• Diagnostic and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and diesel systems on agricultural and heavy equipment
• Maintain excellent customer relations
• Undertake assignments as required in support of client needs
• Documenting and communicating work needed and work performed
• Participate in workplace safety at all times

Key Qualifications/Requirements:

• Previous experience in agricultural and industrial equipment an asset
• Must be able to read and understand prints, drawings and technical bulletins
• Must have strong attention to detail and be able to manage often changing and competing priorities
• Must posses a valid class G driver's license
• Must be motivated, and have a strong work ethic
• Must be punctual and have the ability to work without constant supervision
• Computer skills an asset
• Have tools applicable to the position

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

• Powassan, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• mechanical: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

• Class G Licence (required)
