Job Summary
Company is looking for a Heavy Equipment Operator to manage multiple machines and perform daily activities. Knowledge and understanding of Automotive Recycling Industry (Scrap Yard) and previous work experience in this field is an asset.
Duties
- Heavy equipment operator for excavator's with thumb and attachments and mobile crane equipped with grapple + magnet
- Operate excavators, crane, loaders, and other heavy equipment efficiently and safely
- Must be physically fit to move quickly from machine - machine on uneven ground/ debris
- Must be used to a fast paced environment
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Follow project plans and instructions from supervisors to meet project requirements
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues when necessary
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds and be on their feet the length of the day
- CAT Controls Only Available
- Must be able to work independently and in a team environment
- Maintain all safety standards
- Must be able to follow instructions
- Must arrive on time for daily shifts
- Must have reliable form of transportation
Experience
- 2 Years experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator is preferred
- Prior experience in commercial driving and heavy equipment operation
- Proficiency in operating equipment - Caterpillar machinery, cranes, and other construction vehicles - CAT Controls ONLY
- Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations related to heavy equipment operation
- Strong mechanical knowledge to handle basic repairs and maintenance tasks on equipment
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $27.00 per hour
Experience:
- Heavy equipment operation: 1 year (required)
