Here at Canal House we are looking for a Host to join our great Front Office Team. Canal House is a beautiful 23 bedroom luxury hotel located in the heart of Jordaan, the cultural centre of Amsterdam.
This role is all about ensuring our guest are well looked after prior, and during their stay by offering them exceptional hospitality.
This role will be covering the following tasks: check in and check out, running reports, banking, making hotel reservation's, allocating bedrooms, making reservations at restaurants for dinner, trips out and ensuring that all guest needs are managed.
The role is based on shifts with an early from 7am - 3pm and then a late from 3pm - 11pm and working any 5 days out of 7days.
You need excellent written and verbal communication.
Great friendly telephone manner.
Good understanding of general Front Desk Hotel procedures in a luxury hotel.
Be proactive and a solid team player.
Be a kind member of the team.
Previous experience in a luxury boutique hotel or restaurant is required.
The salary is paid monthly and we also pay for your travel.
You must have the necessary documents that allow you to work in Amsterdam, and a Dutch BSN, and please note we do not have any staff accommodation.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 9 months
Pay: €15,51 per hour
Expected hours: 38 per week
