Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Hostess to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for guests, providing exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere. This role is essential in ensuring guests have a positive experience from the moment they arrive until they leave. Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred, but a passion for guest service and strong communication skills are equally important. The Host/Hostess will be responsible for managing reservations, seating guests, and assisting with various front-of-house duties to support smooth restaurant operations.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide a friendly first impression
• Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
• Escort guests to their tables and ensure they are comfortable
• Answer phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette and assist with reservation bookings or inquiries
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and waiting area
• Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and service flow
• Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and feedback professionally
• Assist in maintaining accurate seating charts and reservation logs
• Support other front-of-house duties as needed to enhance guest experience

Experience

• Previous experience in guest services, serving, or hospitality is preferred
• Familiarity with food service operations and restaurant procedures
• Strong communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to remain organized, work efficiently under pressure, and prioritize tasks during busy service periods
• Knowledge of phone etiquette and customer service best practices
• Hotel or restaurant experience is advantageous but not required; a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and eagerness to learn are essential

Pay: $17.60-$19.00 per hour
