The Holiday Inn Express & Suites Edmonton South is currently looking for a Housekeeper / Room Attendant to tend to the needs and cleanliness of guest rooms and the hotel. The ideal candidate must be a team member with a friendly demeanor that is able to co-operate with other staff and also our guests.

Duties include:

• Clean guest rooms and public areas
• Change linen and replace used towels
• Vacuum carpets, dust furniture
• Scrub and scour surfaces including use of extending arms overhead, bending
• Replenish bathroom amenities (e.g. soap and shampoo)
• Report any technical issues and maintenance needs
• Address guests’ queries (e.g. on additional services)
• Help guests retrieve lost items
• Ensure all assigned rooms are clean and tidy by the end of the shift
• Follow hotel security guidelines
• Perform other duties as required or deemed necessary

Qualification and skills:

• Good physical health and stamina

• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Energetic and able to work under pressure
• Ability to lift a maximum of 50lbs
• Capable of working independently as well as in a team environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00-$16.50 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Edmonton, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
