Role Overview: The Human Resources Manager is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the human resources function across multiple catering sites. This role ensures the company attracts, develops, and retains a skilled workforce while maintaining compliance with employment legislation and company policies. The HR Manager works closely with senior management and site managers to support business objectives, foster employee engagement, and promote a positive workplace culture across all locations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment and Workforce Planning
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract high-quality candidates.
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including advertising, interviewing, selection, and onboarding.
- Build talent pipelines for seasonal and high-volume recruitment.
2. Employee Relations
- Provide guidance and support to managers on employee relations matters.
- Manage disciplinary, grievance, capability, and absence management procedures.
- Promote a positive employee experience through effective communication and engagement initiatives.
- Resolve workplace conflicts fairly and consistently.
3. Performance Management
- Develop and oversee performance appraisal systems.
- Support managers in setting objectives and conducting performance reviews.
- Identify development opportunities and succession planning needs.
- Monitor employee performance trends and recommend improvements.
4. Learning and Development
- Identify training needs across all catering locations.
- Coordinate induction programmes for new employees.
- Develop leadership and management training initiatives.
- Ensure mandatory training, including food safety, health and safety, safeguarding (where applicable), and compliance training, is completed.
5. HR Compliance
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation and company policies.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems.
- Support audits relating to HR, payroll, and legal compliance.
- Monitor right-to-work documentation, contracts of employment, and statutory requirements.
6. Payroll and Benefits Support
- Work closely with payroll to ensure accurate employee information.
- Monitor holiday entitlement, sickness absence, and leave management.
- Ensure compliance with working time regulations.
7. Policy Development
- Develop, review, and update HR policies and procedures.
- Communicate policy changes effectively across all sites.
- Ensure consistent application of policies by site managers.
8. HR Reporting and Analytics
- Produce regular HR reports and key performance indicators (KPIs), including:
- Staff turnover
- Absence rates
- Recruitment metrics
- Training compliance
- Employee engagement
10. Multi-Site Operational Support
- Regularly visit catering locations to support managers and employees.
- Ensure consistency in HR practices across all sites.
- Build strong working relationships with site management teams.
- Support mobilisation of new contracts and organisational change projects.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities across different locations.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Experience handling employee relations cases.
- Leadership and coaching abilities.
- Excellent IT skills, including HR information systems and Microsoft Office.
- High levels of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Ability to influence managers and drive organisational change.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree or professional qualification in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (preferred).
- Professional HR qualification desirable.
- Experience in a multi-site environment, preferably within catering, hospitality, retail, or facilities management.
- Proven experience managing recruitment, employee relations, and HR compliance.
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel between sites.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: €50,000.00-€55,000.00 per year
