The Role

As we continue to grow, we are seeking enthusiastic, supportive, and driven individuals to join us as we drive towards becoming number one in precast concrete and plastics manufacturing.
Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to join our team. We are seeking a motivated, flexible, and driven individual to fill the role of Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Coordinator based at our Narangba branch.
You will receive a competitive remuneration package, flexible working arrangements and a form part of State and National WHS teams.
Responsibilities will include:
Develop, implement, and review SOPs, SWMSs, policies, procedures and supporting systems, ensuring that all relevant legislative and regulatory requirements and standards are met.
Advise management on HSE matters and actively participate in problem solving and implementation of solutions.
Manage the site WHS and Environment Management Systems in a manner that seeks to provide consistency within the Civilmart / IPA Group.
Assist Managers and Supervisors to conduct Risk Assessments and for all hazardous substances, plant, work tasks, and amenities.
Assist and lead incident investigations as required.
Assist Managers, Supervisors and HSRs to conduct WHS and Environment audits and inspections where required. Problems solve and recommend control measures for hazards.
Advise on workplace health, safety & environmental matters and actively participate in problem solving and implementation of solutions.
Facilitate and promote the sharing of safety improvements, reporting, statistics, and documents between States and Branches.
Participate in and contribute to HSE discussions in the Toolbox Meetings.
Assist and advise on Return-to-Work programs as required.
Actively promote safe workplace through daily positive engagement with the workforce.
Requirements:
Relevant qualifications in OHS/WHS is desirable
Previous HSE experience in a manufacturing environment will be advantageous
Interpersonal and teamwork skills essential
Ability to work through change will be valued highly
Flexibility, willingness to adapt and to work to deadlines essential
Ability to provide expert advice and direction on HSE matters.
High oral and written communication skills.
Knowledge of OHS / WHS and Environmental auditing and reporting is ideal but not essential.
