Scottish Group Companies is a group of 3 companies: Scottish Stained Glass, Scottish Window Tinting and Scottish Home Improvements and have been in business for more than 30 years with Headquarters in Denver, CO. We are seeking a hands-on HR Generalist to oversee and advance the People Operations. This role is designed for an HR professional who brings at least 3 years of HR experience and is ready to take on leadership-level responsibilities. In our small-company environment, this position is both strategic and operational, guiding company leaders on workforce strategy while also executing day-to-day HR functions that keep our teams supported and compliant. Working 3-4 days in office, need to work 30 hours to be eligible for benefits.
Responsibilities
Strategic HR Leadership
- Work with company leadership on workforce planning, organizational development, and HR strategy.
- Lead performance management and coach managers on talent development and retention.
Recruitment & Talent Development
- Oversee recruitment and hiring, from job postings through final offers, ensuring a strong candidate experience.
- Build pipelines by partnering with trade schools, industry groups, and community organizations.
Compliance & HR Operations
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws while maintaining accurate HR records and work with the Senior Accounting Manager to ensure payroll is calculated correctly.
- Manage safety and compliance programs, including OSHA training.
Employee Relations & Culture
- Act as the point of contact for employee relations, conflict resolution, and coaching.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives that strengthen company culture and retention.
- Work witrh managers to develop healthy employee relation practices.
Knowledge, Skills & Attributes
- 3+ years of HR experience
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, compliance, and employment law.
- Proven ability to balance strategic priorities with day-to-day HR operations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- PHR or SHRM-CP preferred but not essential.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $32.00 - $36.00 per hour
