Concord has an opportunity for a skilled People & Culture Coordinator to join our team. The Coordinator will support people and culture programs by working closely with the Vice President, People & Culture to assist with all employee life cycle activities from recruitment to offboarding.

The successful candidate will:
- Assist with recruitment and selection process by posting jobs, engaging with candidates, coordinating interviews, administering selection assessments and maintaining documentation.
- Onboard new hires by answering questions, coordinating and delivering new hire orientation sessions, creating and maintaining employee accounts and documentation.
- Participate in on-campus recruitment events by networking, receiving applications, posting jobs to web portals, screening applications, preparing recruitment materials and giveaways.
- Draft employment change letters, job description changes and other documentation to capture and document activities and records in Payworks.
- Track employee milestone anniversaries, coordinate gifts and awards.
- Coordinate in-house training programs and external course registrations.
- Support career conversations and development programs by drafting communications, tracking participation, reporting on progress and researching solutions for managers.
- Manage the company safety footwear voucher program.
- Coordinate offboarding process between departments, capturing and recording all required documentation.
- Track employee data and metrics for internal quarterly reporting and as needed for external reporting.
- Promote and communicate employee program information about group benefits, retirement savings, EAP, and internal employee rewards programs to staff and assist with program questions and enrollments/changes.
- Draft annual total compensation statements for review and other compensation related reports as requested.
- Track and monitor leave of absence dates, deadlines, and coordinate return to work processes.
- Prepare reports for Workers Compensation Board (WCB).
- Participate in the Culture Committee to contribute to plans and organizing events.
- Write and contribute sourced content to the employee newsletter.
- Maintain the employee handbook by researching and proposing updates, recommending edits to capture company culture through policies and program descriptions.
- Assist with website updates and social media content drafting and planning.
Our next teammate has the following qualifications and experience:
- 3-5 years' administrative or coordinator experience in a human resources or people culture role (combined co-op terms, or full-time).
- Post-secondary degree or diploma required. Focus on human resource management preferred.
- Some knowledge of HRIS systems required.
- Some knowledge of The Employment Standards Code (Manitoba). Construction Industry Wages Act (CIWA) knowledge considered an asset.
- Attention to detail and commitment to capturing information and reporting on data.
- Service oriented attitude and readiness to assist others.
- Demonstrated ability to work with confidential information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Strong Microsoft Office tools user, specifically Outlook, Word, Teams, and Excel.
- Some experience updating Wordpress websites considered an asset.
