Industrial Buyer

Job Description

As a Local Buyer, you will be responsible for overseeing the ordering process and working closely with the Purchasing & Warehouse Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Tracking and reporting key performance metrics to reduce costs and enhance efficiency.
• Ensuring thorough follow-up of required documentation (purchase orders, supplier data) in our SAP system.
• Managing and solving supplier claims to safeguard the interests of the company.
• Participating in the negotiation process to optimize company’s interests in terms of quality, pricing, and delivery times.
• Assessing, managing, and mitigating potential risks.
• Monitoring and forecasting future demand levels.
• Supporting the Purchasing & Warehouse Manager in strategic purchasing activities, including implementing KPIs, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, and assisting with audits.

Your Profile

• 
  You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree (or equivalent) in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Law, or International Relations.
• You have 1 to 3 years of experience in Purchasing (including Incoterms, supplier evaluation, payment terms, and KPIs), Supply Chain, or Audit. Junior profiles will also be considered.
• You are proficient with IT tools:

o Experience with ERP systems (SAP knowledge is a plus).

o Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a particular focus on Excel and Outlook.

• You are highly organized, with the ability to gather and analyze data and work with figures.
• You possess excellent communication skills, both internally and externally, and work well within a team, collaborating closely with stakeholders.
• You have strong negotiation skills and are comfortable networking and establishing connections.
• You are fluent in French and have a good command of English. German is an asset.
• You have a strong desire to learn and grow within the role.
