The Industrial Maintenance Technician performs scheduled/unscheduled electro-mechanical repairs, maintenance, and installation tasks on the physical plant, equipment, and machinery within a food manufacturing environment according to standards. Position requires demonstration of competency for all on-the-job activities that may have a direct or indirect effect on production uptime, product safety, and/or quality.

Position Responsibilities:

• Performs assigned preventive maintenance tasks
• Performs scheduled maintenance on plant equipment and machinery
• Responds to and corrects equipment stoppage/mechanical breakdown
• Troubleshoots (when necessary)
• Repairs/replaces worn/defective parts, motors, control devices, PLC's, VFD's, etc.
• Maintains cleanliness of work area
• Practices and complies with all Company policies and procedures (GMP's, HACCP, Safety, etc.)
• Performs other duties that are deemed by Management to be an integral part of the job

And then here's what we need from you:

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years of commercial or industrial maintenance-related experience and/or training in a food manufacturing environment
• Experience with low and high-voltage electrical systems (must be able to read electrical schematics and blueprints)
• Demonstrated understanding of operating principles of Industrial Electrical Controls, VFD's, HMI's, and PLC's
• Ability to diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test equipment/machinery, and make adjustments
• Availability to work a minimum of 3 days per week starting at 4-5am; may adjust other days based on preference and business needs
• Must be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department, which may be subject to evenings, weekends, and/or holidays (will be subject to on-call status)
• Mindset focused on continuous improvement
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
