Job Overview
As an Infant Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in nurturing and guiding our youngest learners through their early developmental stages. Your passion for early childhood education will shine as you create a warm, engaging, and safe environment that fosters curiosity and growth. You’ll implement age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development while ensuring each child feels valued and supported.
What you’ll do
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to infants' developmental milestones.
- Create a safe and nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Monitor and assess each child's progress in key areas such as language, motor skills, and social interactions.
- Collaborate with parents to share insights on their child's development and address any concerns.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom setting that reflects the needs of infants.
- Provide individualized care for each child, including diapering, feeding, and comforting as needed.
- Implement behavior management strategies to support positive interactions among children.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance your teaching skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
- A degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
- Experience working with infants or toddlers in a daycare or preschool setting is essential.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles to effectively support learning milestones.
- First aid certification is required; CPR certification is a plus.
- Familiarity with special education practices and experience working with children with disabilities is highly valued.
- Strong classroom management skills to create a positive learning environment.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with children, parents, and colleagues effectively.
- Previous experience in caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting is beneficial.
