Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Infant Teacher to join our faith based team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childhood development and experience working with infant/toddler-aged children. This role involves creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of young learners.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Educate students through play-based learning, hands-on activities, and structured lessons.
- Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and creativity.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience for all students.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and developmental milestones.
- Provide support for children with special needs or developmental challenges as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including first aid protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with infant/toddler-aged children in an educational or daycare setting.
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles and practices.
- Knowledge of special education strategies is a plus.
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques to create an effective learning environment.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff.
- A nurturing personality with a passion for teaching young children is essential.
