Position Summary:

As an Inside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for generating product and service orders from customers’ inquiries. You will also assist in operations as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive incoming sales calls and customer inquires;
  • Review customer requirements and inventory to provide timely and accurate responses;
  • Document any order requirement exceptions taken and confirmed;
  • Process timely detailed and accurate quotation responses to the customers;
  • Follow up on quotes directly with customers or with the support of the outside sales team;
  • Expedite orders to ensure customer delivery dates are achieved;
  • Source and purchase buy-ins from suppliers that can meet customer requirements at the best cost while achieving the required quality level;
  • Maintain excellent communications with internal departments, customers, and suppliers;
  • Receive, pick, and ship products, as required;
  • Deliver customer orders, as required;
  • Continuously improve product knowledge;
  • On-call schedule
  • Some weekend work.

Qualifications:

  • Sales Experience: Field Store, Pipe, Flange, Valves, & Fitting and/or energy industry;
  • Operations Experience: Shipping/receiving, manufacturing, warehouse distribution;
  • Industry Experience: Mining, industrial, oil field, project supply, and/or fabrication industries;
  • Education: Post-secondary degree/diploma in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field;
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and Clean Driver’s Abstract, required;
  • Professional demeanor, selling style;
  • Comfortable with technology in general, proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP software;
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills in dealing with external and internal customers;
  • Strong analytical, time management, and organizational skills;
  • Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment medical evaluation and drug test.
