Account Executive/ Inside Sales Rep

What You’ll Do

As an Account Executive, you'll be responsible for identifying and nurturing new business opportunities and managing client relationships with a focus on ground and air shipment services. You'll collaborate closely with our sales and operations teams to deliver strategic solutions that meet client needs and exceed expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline through prospecting (cold calling, email campaigns, and networking).
  • Grow business by identifying and qualifying potential accounts in need of logistics and transportation solutions.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet individual gross margin targets.
  • Cultivate relationships through meetings, phone calls, and personalized follow-up.
  • Close deals by presenting tailored service offerings and negotiating contract terms.
  • Represent Express at trade shows, events, and industry conferences.
  • Occasionally assist with dispatching shipments for key accounts.
  • Consistently report on market trends and business opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Experience in sales, customer service, or business development (transportation/logistics industry).
  • An existing network in ground transportation is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confidence in cold calling, networking, and developing client relationships.
  • Working knowledge of CRM tools and basic sales software.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated with a growth mindset and a willingness to learn.
