American Threat Assessment Consulting, Inc. is a low voltage security integrator seeking the following position:
The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for generating new business opportunities, supporting the sales process, and maintaining strong customer relationships for a commercial security integration company. This role serves as the first point of contact for many prospective customers and works closely with Account Executives and Sales Engineers to identify customer needs, develop proposals, and ensure an exceptional customer experience.
The ideal candidate is a motivated sales professional with strong communication skills, a consultative sales approach, and the ability to manage multiple opportunities while contributing to the company's sales growth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Prospecting
- Qualify inbound leads and identify customer needs, project timelines, budgets, and decision-makers.
- Research target accounts and develop relationships with existing facility managers, operations managers, IT professionals, property managers, and security decision-makers.
- Coordinate scheduling meetings and site surveys for Account Executives and Sales Engineers if required/requested from existing customers.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers along with AE.
- Serve as a point of contact for customer inquiries regarding products, services, and project opportunities.
- Deliver a high level of customer service throughout the sales process.
Sales Support
- Prepare take-offs, estimates, proposals, and pricing with support from Sales Engineers and estimating resources.
- Confirm accurate pricing and current price lists from manufacturers. Maintain a strong relationship with manufacturer partners.
- Follow up on proposals and open opportunities to move prospects through the sales cycle.
- Along with AE, Coordinate customer meetings, demonstrations, and presentations.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and opportunity status within the company's CRM.
- Assist AE + Sales Engineer on material only quotes for new & existing customers.
Account Development
- Identify opportunities to expand existing customer relationships through system upgrades and additional services.
- Promote recurring revenue offerings including preventive maintenance agreements, monitoring services, managed access control, cloud video, and software subscriptions.
- Assist in renewing service agreements and recurring contracts.
Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with Account Executives, Sales Engineers, and Service teams to ensure smooth customer experience.
- Coordinate with Sales Engineers for pre-submission of a proposal for Quality Control check before final AE review for final review & submission.
- Coordinate with Admin Director and/or Sales Engineer on Equipment pricing/availability for Inside Sales pre-approved/bidding process proposals only (only when most recent pricing isn’t available or up to date).
- Ensure customer requirements and expectations are communicated effectively throughout the organization.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate customer records, sales activities, and opportunity tracking within the CRM system/report tracker system.
- Generate sales reports and pipeline updates.
- Support sales initiatives, marketing campaigns, and company events as needed.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Take-off, estimation and proposal are timely generated
- Sales pipeline growth
- Proposal follow-up and conversion rates
- Revenue generated from inside sales opportunities
- Service agreement and recurring revenue renewals
- CRM data accuracy and activity levels
- Customer satisfaction and responsiveness
Working Conditions
- Primarily office-based or remote. Trade show assistance may be required.
- Standard business hours.
- Frequent communication via phone, email, and virtual meetings.
Role Responsibility Differences:
- Inside Sales Representative: Qualifies leads, supports customers, prepares quotes, manages smaller opportunities, and nurtures recurring revenue.
- Sales Engineer: Provides technical expertise, conducts site surveys (as needed), designs solutions, assists with BOM development, and supports complex sales opportunities.
- Account Executive (Outside Sales): Owns customer relationships, develops new business, negotiates contracts, and closes sales.
Pay: $25.00 - $33.00 per hour
