Job Summary
The Inside Sales Specialist serves as an inside sales partner for our regional sales teams. This is an in-person position, responsible for providing sales support for accounts in Canada and the UK, including account management; prospecting, qualifying leads, and providing world-class customer service. In addition to base pay, position is eligible for monthly commission based on sales.

Vacancy Status: This is a newly established role designed to support evolving business needs, including expanded UK operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with Regional Sales Managers to support and grow customers in Canada and the UK
  • Share customer insights, pull reports, and assist with special projects and marketing materials
  • Respond to inbound calls, follow up with customers, and provide high-touch service
  • Enter orders, upsell when appropriate, and support high-value retailers and distributors
  • Make outbound calls to secure orders, promote products, training events, and marketing tools
  • Build positive, long-term customer relationships
  • Attend trade shows and regional events (~2–3 weeks of domestic & international travel per year)
  • Respond to customer questions and engage on Aquascape social media platforms
  • Jump in on other projects as needed—we’re a team!

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in company events, as need
  • Complete other projects and duties as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent customer service skills with a minimum of 6 months of experience in an inside sales position
  • Proven track record of upselling and qualifying leads in an inside sales position or similar environment
  • Ability to work in a team environment, yet having the ability to make independent decisions
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at once
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook; and CRM software

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bilingual in French & English strongly prefered
  • Sales experience in a similar industry
  • Experience with customer relationship management software (Salesforce or similar)

Compensation & Benefits

  • Starting salary: $50,000 - $57,000 + commission
  • Full-time, salaried position
