At Intempus, we’re on a mission to make time registration as easy as possible. Through innovation, automation and user-friendly design, we strive to make our system smart enough to handle most of the administrative work for our customers. We’ve been around for more than a decade, and today our platform helps tens of thousands of users every day.
Now we’re looking for a Senior-level Integration Engineer to design, build and maintain the integrations that connect Intempus with our customers’ systems and partners. You’ll join our existing Integration Team of three, so together you’ll be a team of four. If you enjoy solving real data problems, making systems talk to each other, and doing “invisible” work that just quietly runs and runs - this might be for you.
The role
You’ll be part of our Integration Team, working closely with fellow integration engineers, Customer Success Managers (CSM), our Product Owner, backend developers and external partners. Together you will ensure that data flows reliably between Intempus and external systems and that customer needs are translated into robust, maintainable solutions.
Your key responsibilities
-
Plan, design and implement new integrations
Understand customer and partner needs, and translate them into robust integration designs and data flows. - Maintain and improve existing integrations
Refactor, optimize and extend current integrations to make them more reliable, testable and easier to operate. - Investigate APIs and data models
Work with REST, OAuth2, OpenAPI and SOAP APIs to understand capabilities, constraints and edge cases. - Solve customer requests
Help our CSM team with integration-related requests, questions and incidents—digging into logs, data and code when needed. - Find root causes in data mismatches
Track down where and why data differs between systems and implement durable fixes, not just quick patches. - Collaborate with partners
Participate in technical meetings with integration partners to align on API usage, changes and best practices. - Build confidence through tests
Design and maintain automated tests for integration logic to ensure that changes are safe to deploy.
Who you are
There are many paths into an integrations role. What matters most to us is that you are a strong Python engineer who enjoys working with APIs, data and people.
You likely recognize yourself in many of these points:
Must-have
5+ years of professional experience with Python
Solid experience with PostgreSQL
Hands-on experience with REST APIs, OAuth2, OpenAPI and preferably also SOAP
Used to working with automated tests (e.g. pytest, integration tests, etc.)
Comfortable being a team player in a small, collaborative team
Comfortable taking part in support-like work (through CSM, not directly with Intempus end-users)
Good communication skills and comfortable in customer-facing technical discussions
Can work on-site at our office in Copenhagen
Nice to have
Experience with Django
Comfortable working with Linux on a daily basis
Familiar with common Unix tools (shell, ssh, grep, etc.)
Experience working with YAML-based configurations
Mindset
You like doing “invisible” work where success means things just work - and keep working.
You are systematic and enjoy finding root causes, not just patching symptoms.
You’re pragmatic: you care about good architecture, but you also ship.
What we offer
A key role in a dedicated Integration Team in a fast-growing company.
A flat hierarchy, informal vibe and colleagues who care about what they do.
A chance to own and shape how integrations are built and operated at Intempus.
Competitive salary and great perks.
An office located in central Copenhagen.
Are we a great match?
Does this sound interesting? Do you thrive where idea-sharing and collaborative problem-solving are in focus? Does the idea of building robust integrations that quietly help thousands of people in their everyday work life motivate you?
Then you might be a great match for Intempus.
If you can contribute to a great team, please send us your application. We are hiring on a rolling basis, so please send your application as soon as possible.
Start date: Flexible – tell us what works for you.
