Description

As the Interim Operations Leader for Ireland your focus will on Operations Team in Health & Benefits (H&B) Europe (excluding France), but you will also be coordinating work across H&B Ireland. You will work closely with the Country Leader and the H&B Ireland Leader to execute on the vision and strategy for Ireland H&B Operations. You will support the growth of H&B in Ireland, executing on BAU (Business as Usual) and change priorities to drive operational efficiencies and margin improvement. This role will sit on the Ireland Operations Leadership team and the role will report into the H&B Ireland Leader, who will act as compensation manager.


This is a 6 Month Fixed-Term Contract role with the possibility of extension.

The Role

  • Execute the operational vision for H&B in Ireland by collaborating with business leadership and multiple stakeholder groups to implement an effective operating model across Front, Enablement and Back Office teams.
  • Represent the interests of the team on the Ireland Operations Leadership Team and work collaboratively with other Ireland operations team members to shape, drive, and execute operational priorities for WTW, including regulatory and compliance activities, and data analysis and reporting.
  • In partnership with the Regional Excellence Leader, drive the output from Excellence reviews, adoption of appropriate H&B Excellence processes and serve as an Excellence champion among colleagues, ensuring adherence to our principles of Excellence and participating in the Excellence Review process. Serve as the Data Privacy Champion for the team. Specifically support Excellence across Ireland – coordinating communications, supporting the completion of actions to the deadlines.
  • Work with leaders in Ireland Operations Team to develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth and achieve team objectives. It includes setting goals, identifying market opportunities, and ensuring that the country’s operations align with its overall strategy. Drive operational margin improvements by focusing on operational efficiencies, cost management, and strategic initiatives, whilst ensuring high-quality service delivery and adherence to company policies and standards.
  • Collaborate with the Strategic Projects Leader to actively support execution and change management of the regional change portfolio within the countries aimed at accelerating significant changes, such as technology implementation, data quality, and automation.
  • Work with the Service Delivery Leader for Europe (xFR) and existing colleagues in the Global Delivery Centre (GDC) and Regional Delivery Hub (RDH) to support opportunities for maximising the use of the GDC or RDH. Coordinate the identification and transition of local processes to the GDC or RDH and act as the business advocate to ensure high-quality service delivery for Ireland.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement of processes and efficiency gains. Provide coaching, mentoring, and support to drive sustained improvement across the business. Lead other projects as directed by the Ireland Leader. Represent Ireland Operations Team Operations on the Ireland Leadership Team.

Qualifications

The Requirements

  • Operational or complex project management experience, with recognized qualifications such as Lean Six Sigma and or APM an advantage
  • Experience with large-scale transformation and operational change projects
  • Monitoring quality with regular data driven insights
  • Experience in managing multiple projects including as part of virtual teams. Producing quality deliverables within demanding deadlines, within budget
  • Ability to build, lead, motivate and work in collaborative teams at all levels, across multiple practice and functional areas
  • Proven ability to recognise and diagnose issues and propose solutions
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring all aspects of the project are thoroughly monitored and deviations are promptly addressed.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare detailed reports and present findings effectively.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with regulatory requirements and market practices within the Ireland.
  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to coordinate and collaborate with various stakeholders, ensuring project alignment, proactive addressing concerns
  • Advantageous to have In-depth knowledge of the market, H&B and/or Retirement capabilities, and broader WTW offerings
