Summary

Ofab is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Inventory Control Specialist to manage, monitor, and optimize inventory processes. Hours would be 7:30a.m.-4:00p.m. Monday through Friday. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate inventory levels, support, operational efficiency, and implement best practices for tracking, reporting, and replenishing stock. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with Purchasing, warehouse, and operations teams.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, track, and maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Perform regular inventory counts, audits, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
  • Identify and investigate inventory discrepancies, shortages, and overages.
  • Develop and implement efficient inventory control procedures.
  • Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and warehouse teams to optimize stock levels.
  • Generate and analyze inventory reports to support decision-making.
  • Forecast demand trends to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to streamline inventory processes.
  • Train and assist team members on proper inventory handling and reporting procedures.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or supply chain management.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management systems (ERP, WMS, or related software).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Any other duties as may be required.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift materials up to 30-50lbs. as needed.
  • Comfortable working in a non-climate controlled warehouse or production environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
