Description:
Greyhound Racing Victoria (GRV) is seeking an experienced professional to foster compliance with the Rules of Racing and promote greyhound welfare by leading inquiries and investigations. We have a full-time ongoing Investigative Steward opportunity available in our Integrity and Welfare team for an immediate start.
We strongly encourage candidates based in regional areas including Warrnambool, Geelong, Ballarat, Bendigo, Shepparton, Seymour, Gippsland (Warragul & Sale) and Horsham to apply.
Salary: $81,513 to $93,160 (depending on experience), plus a tool-of-trade motor vehicle and allowances.

Join a team dedicated to maintaining the integrity of the greyhound racing industry through a strong commitment to animal welfare, fairness, and transparency.
As an Investigative Steward with GRV, you will play a key role in ensuring that GRV registered participants adhere to the Rules of Racing, the Code of Practice for the keeping of Racing Greyhounds, and all relevant legislation. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting property and kennel inspections, and leading inquiries and investigations across Victoria into potential or alleged compliance breaches.
This role offers a dynamic work environment. Flexibility is essential, as the position involves a mix of day, afternoon, evening, and weekend shifts based on GRV investigative needs. The role also includes some scheduled intrastate overnight travel.

Skills and Experiences:
Due to the nature of our work, our successful candidate will have
Certificate IV in Government Investigations (or prepared to obtain within 12 months of appointment)
Advanced Diploma of Investigations (Police), Diploma of Policing or similar related investigative experience
First Aid & CPR certificate (or prepared to obtain within 12 months of appointment)
Diploma of Government Investigations (desirable)
Victorian driver’s licence
