Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage project costs, prepare estimates, monitor budgets, and ensure effective cost control throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, excellent knowledge of construction costing, and the ability to coordinate with project teams, vendors, and clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) from architectural and structural drawings.
• Prepare detailed project cost estimates for residential and commercial construction projects.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and project requirements to determine material and labor quantities.
• Prepare tender documents, quotations, and cost proposals.
• Evaluate contractor and supplier quotations and recommend cost-effective solutions.
• Monitor project costs and ensure expenditure remains within the approved budget.
• Prepare and verify subcontractor and vendor bills.
• Measure completed work and prepare interim and final payment certificates.
• Assist in procurement planning and material cost analysis.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
• Prepare variation orders, change orders, and cost impact analyses.
• Maintain project cost records, reports, and documentation.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Procurement, and Finance teams.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, contracts, and project specifications.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity estimation, and construction costing.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Good understanding of construction materials, methods, and contracts.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, MS Office, and quantity surveying software.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of estimation software such as CostX, PlanSwift, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with ERP or construction management software.
• Understanding of tendering processes and contract administration.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
