We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care for animals in our facility, ensuring their health, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess the skills necessary to handle various breeds and sizes of pets. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, watering, and exercising them.
• Maintain cleanliness in the kennel area by cleaning cages, kennels, and common areas.
• Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to management.
• Assist with animal restraint during grooming.
• Engage with pet owners to provide updates on their pets’ well-being.
• Perform heavy lifting tasks when moving animals or cleaning equipment.
• Ensure all safety protocols are followed to protect both animals and staff.

Skills

• Experience in kennel or animal care settings is preferred.
• Strong animal handling skills with the ability to manage various breeds safely.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with pet owners and team members.
• A genuine love for animals and commitment to their welfare.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
