Position: Network Engineer
Experience: 3–5 years
Location: Kolkata
Employment Type: Full-time

We are seeking a Network Engineer with hands-on experience in Linux system administration and networking to manage, troubleshoot, and support our IT infrastructure. The role requires close collaboration with developers, product teams, and on-site engineers to ensure seamless system and network operations. This position also involves occasional travel for project implementation and client support.

Key Responsibilities

Network & System Support
- Perform day-to-day troubleshooting of networking issues (LAN/WAN, firewalls, switches, routers, VPNs, etc.) as well as Linux/Windows system issues.
- Monitor and maintain network performance, ensuring high availability and security.
- Configure and manage network devices, firewalls, and security protocols.

Server & Infrastructure Administration
- Manage and administer Linux-based servers to support the development and product teams.
- Ensure system security, patch management, and performance optimization.
- Implement backup and disaster recovery solutions.

Collaboration & Support
- Work closely with the product development team to assist in system-related requirements.
- Support the implementation team during deployments at client sites, including traveling as required.
- Guide and assist first-level support engineers in troubleshooting on-site issues remotely.

Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain proper documentation of system configurations, network topologies, and troubleshooting processes.
- Ensure compliance with organizational IT and security policies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven work experience in network engineering and Linux system administration.

Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, VPN, and firewalls.
- Hands-on experience with Linux and Windows servers.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, etc.) and ticketing systems.
- Good understanding of IT security practices.

Other Requirements
- Must own a two-wheeler for local commuting.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Based in Kolkata or open to relocating.
