Columbia Cabinets is looking for a kitchen designer to join their team in Saratoga, NY.
Responsibilities
- Meet clients and measure interior spaces accurately for designing and ordering cabinets
- Create kitchen design with information collected from clients, including hand drawings and renders
- Prepare detailed proposals with descriptions and pricing
- Schedule and conduct meetings and presentations with clients
- Place orders and liaise with factory
- Provide coverage of showroom to meet with potential walk-in clients
Education and Experience
- 2 + years of sales and design experience with a proven track record of driving sales
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Interior Design Preferred
- High-end retail experience a plus
Qualifications
- Knowledge of interior design space planning and residential construction
- Ability to read architectural plans and prepare drawings and renders for design presentations
- Proficient at site measuring
- Ability to handle several projects simultaneously
- Working knowledge of 20/20 and Salesforce a strong plus
- Computer literate – Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
- Proactive, able to multitask, organized
- Outgoing and personable; skilled at interacting with clients
- Excellent time management and communication skills
