The Kitchen Porter is responsible for the day to day cleaning and overall cleanliness of the kitchen and kitchen areas, they will work closely with the kitchen & hotel team in making sure that the kitchen areas and equipment is kept to a high standard and to make sure that all cleaning procedures are adhered to.
You will have a strong understanding of workplace hygiene and organization as well as be flexible to the changing needs of a business. This is an amazing opportunity for an experienced Kitchen porter to join the fun, energetic and vibrant Salthill Hotel in Salthill.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the everyday cleanliness of the kitchen
- Ensuring that equipment is clean and ready for next use.
- Manage stock of cleaning chemicals and cleaning equipment.
- Work as part of the hotel team.
- This is a hands-on role which will require the occasional heavy lifting.
- Other duties as assigned by the Head Chef and Hotel Manager
Experience and skills
Minimum of 6 months to 1 years' experience in a similar role
Ability to work under pressure
Fluent in English
