We are currently seeking a dependable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen team at The Maritime Hotel. This behind-the-scenes role is essential to the smooth running of our culinary operations, helping maintain a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment.

About The Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all kitchen and food preparation areas are kept clean, sanitary, and well-organized
  • Wash pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment to high hygiene standards
  • Properly handle and dispose of kitchen waste and recycling
  • Support chefs with general kitchen tasks as required
  • Monitor stock of cleaning supplies and report when replenishment is needed
  • Adhere strictly to health & safety and food hygiene guidelines at all times


Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, but not essential
  • Flexible, reliable, and committed to upholding cleanliness and hygiene
  • A team player with a strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks in a busy kitchen environment
