Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Kitchen Team Member to join our dynamic food service team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a vibrant restaurant environment, contributing to the preparation and presentation of delicious meals. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent teamwork skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.
Duties
- Assist in meal preparation and food assembly according to recipes and standards
- Handle food safely and follow proper food handling procedures
- Support kitchen operations by cleaning, organizing, and maintaining workstations
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping, slicing, and measuring
- Serve food efficiently and courteously to customers or dining area
- Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly
- Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of cooking techniques, meal preparation, and food safety practices
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety standards
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends or holidays if required
- Food industry experience or kitchen experience is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.60 per hour
Work Location: In person
