Job Description
We are looking for a skilled and responsible Lab Technician to join our newly established micro hospital in Kollam. The selected candidate will be responsible for performing routine laboratory tests, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring accurate reporting to support patient diagnosis and treatment.
The candidate should be capable of handling basic clinical laboratory investigations and coordinating with doctors and nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine laboratory tests including hematology, biochemistry, and urine analysis
- Collect blood and other specimen samples from patients
- Maintain proper labeling, storage, and handling of samples
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment
- Prepare and verify laboratory reports
- Maintain laboratory records and documentation
- Ensure proper hygiene, sterilization, and infection control in the lab
- Coordinate with doctors and nursing staff for test requirements
Eligibility Criteria
Qualification
- BSc MLT (Preferred)
- Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) acceptable
Experience
- Minimum 1–2 years experience preferred
Skills
- Knowledge of clinical laboratory procedures
- Good sample handling and documentation skills
- Ability to work in shifts if required
- Basic computer knowledge for lab reporting systems
