Nature’s Best is seeking an experienced and dedicated Laboratory Manager to join our team in Drogheda. If you have a strong background in microbiology and laboratory management, this is an excellent opportunity to lead a dynamic team and contribute to the success of our technical operations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure implementation and adherence to the Quality System Manual within the laboratory.
- Test all samples to meet customer-specific requirements.
- Complete out-of-specification test certificates and release results.
- Identify and minimize deviations in testing activities.
- Perform in-house equipment calibrations and maintain an internal audit program.
- Conduct proficiency testing schemes, both internal and external.
- Manage quality control of media and overall quality of work.
- Train and retrain laboratory personnel as needed and maintain all training records.
- Oversee laboratory activities and the management system for effectiveness.
- Manage required documentation and ensure its upkeep.
- Perform ongoing trend analysis and contribute to process improvements.
- Supervise and resolve in-house laboratory issues.
- Monitor international standard methods and apply modifications/validations as necessary.
- Support the technical department with microbiological insights and advice.
Qualifications/Skills:
- A scientific qualification, preferably in microbiology.
- 5+ years of experience in a microbiology laboratory.
- Experience with audit participation.
- Strong attention to detail with accurate recording of test results.
- Ability to closely follow safety protocols.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and good organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and adapt to new developments.
