Description:
About the Role
We are seeking applications for a Laboratory Technician to join our modern, NATA-accredited laboratory. This role will be working the afternoon shift from 1pm – 9pm. The role involves preparing samples for analysis and requires a versatile individual who can adapt to various tasks and work across multiple teams. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory processes.

Responsibilities

Sample Preparation & Analysis: Prepare and analyse samples, ensuring tests are conducted within the required holding time.
Quality Control: Follow all quality control protocols to maintain high standards.
Safety: Comply with laboratory safety procedures and proper PPE usage.
Documentation: Complete all documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organised workspace through regular housekeeping.

Skills and Experiences:
About You

The ideal candidate will possess:
Exceptional attention to detail
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
Ability to juggle competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
A proactive, 'can-do' attitude
Strong teamwork skills
A degree in Science with a Chemistry major is preferred
Previous experience in a similar role is desirable
Required to work the 1-9pm night shift
