West Edmonton business is looking for a long-term, full-time employee to join our team. This position includes operating the manual lathe and occasionally the manual mill. Use of measuring tools, including but not limited to vernier calipers and micrometer will also be required.
Duties
- Set up and operate lathe machines to produce precision parts to perform repetitive machining
- Load and unload raw materials and finished parts into the machine
- Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary to ensure quality and efficiency
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
-Lifting up to 80lbs
-Maintain an organized workstation
Requirements
- Previous experience operating CNC lathe machines is required, minimum 6 months
- Knowledge of milling machines, lathes, plasma cutting, laser cutting, welding, forklift operation, and crane operation is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machine issues
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
-Eligible to work in Canada
-Read/write English
