Marine Equipment and component Lead Surveyor

The role
- Lead a team of 5 equipment and component surveyors
- Pro-actively support our clients with technical queries
- Surveys of material, equipment and components intended for marine applications at manufacturers works and laboratories.
- Further assist in the development of our tools like Digital workbench
- Providing good control of projects, including communicating with clients, financial control and timely and accurate reporting.
What you bring
- Degree as material, mechanical or marine engineer (B.Eng./B.Sc./M.Eng./M.Sc. or equivalent);
- To use a combination of general and specialist engineering knowledge and understanding to optimize the application of existing and emerging technology.
- Understanding and interpreting national and international rules and regulations applicable for marine and offshore assets.
- To be able to apply appropriate theoretical and practical methods to the analysis and solution of engineering problems.
- To provide technical and commercial leadership within the responsibilities assigned.
- To demonstrate effective interpersonal skills including proficiency in the English language.

The following optional qualifications would be an advantage:
- Proficiency in the Dutch language
- Seagoing experience or experience in the maritime supply chain
- IWT or IWE accreditation
You are someone who:
- Holds a degree in material, mechanical, or marine engineering (B.Eng./B.Sc./M.Eng./M.Sc. or equivalent).
- Has a passion for the maritime industry and a deep understanding of marine and offshore assets.
- Is experienced in interpreting and applying national and international rules and regulations relevant to marine and offshore industries.
- Possesses a strong problem-solving ability, using a mix of theoretical knowledge and practical methods to resolve complex engineering challenges.
- Demonstrates strong technical and commercial leadership skills, ensuring the successful delivery of projects and client satisfaction.
- Is proactive, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work efficiently under pressure.
- Has excellent interpersonal skills and proficiency in English, enabling effective communication with clients and team members.
- Enjoys visiting diverse customers and engaging with various stakeholders, building and maintaining strong relationships.
- Optional: Proficiency in Dutch and additional qualifications like IWT/IWE or seagoing experience will be considered an advantage.
