Youngman Law is a boutique law firm located in midtown Toronto, in business for over 40 years, specializing in litigation, debt collection and real estate matters.
Overview:
We are seeking a quick learner with a positive attitude to join our team. The role will act as Legal Assistant to Senior Lawyer.
The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a friendly demeanor, keen attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. This job is for you if you love to help keep a company organized and efficient.

Role Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Ensuring all physical and electronic court filing is accomplished
· Drafting affidavits of service, demand letters and additional correspondence, including other legal documents as needed
· Providing documents and materials on time to meet client needs, including proofreading legal documents for accuracy and completeness
· Managing scheduling, and handling expense posting to files and billings
· Dealing with and responding to client inquiries, and conducting follow up as required
· Performing data entry with attention to accuracy and efficiency
Core Skills & Requirements
Proficiency in file management and organization
· Competency in data entry tasks with precision
· Extremely efficient and adept organizational skills to manage simultaneous tasks effectively
· Strong grammatical skills, including proofreading, attention to detail and accuracy are a must
· Excellent written and verbal communication, as well as problem solving skills
· Knowledge of ACL and GhostPractice
· Understands confidentiality of client information
Experience:
- Previous working experience in a Legal Assistant role or co-op internship experience is preferred (salary negotiable and commensurate with experience)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
