Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Librarian to manage and maintain our library operations at the Bharath Housing Society Layout in Subramanyapura, Bengaluru. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient organization, accessibility, and preservation of library resources. The Librarian will be responsible for cataloging materials, managing circulation systems, and fostering a culture of reading and learning through effective library services.

Responsibilities:

• Organize, classify, and maintain library collections including books, journals, digital resources, and multimedia materials
• Manage circulation processes, including check-in/check-out, renewals, and overdue notices
• Assist patrons with research, information retrieval, and resource navigation
• Maintain accurate records of inventory, acquisitions, and usage statistics
• Conduct regular audits and inventory checks to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Implement and monitor library policies and procedures
• Support library events, reading programs, and community engagement initiatives
• Ensure the library environment is clean, safe, and conducive to study and learning
• Troubleshoot and report technical issues with library systems and equipment

Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Library Science, Information Science, or a related field
• 2–5 years of experience in a library or information management setting
• Proficiency in library management systems and digital cataloging tools
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in record-keeping
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with MS Office and internet-based research tools
