Part-Time Lifeguards & Swim Teachers Required
Portmarnock Sports & Leisure Club – Dublin

Portmarnock Sports & Leisure Club is currently seeking part-time Lifeguards and Swim Teachers for weekday and weekend work.

The ideal candidates will be professional, enthusiastic, and capable of working effectively in a fast-paced environment. Applicants must be fully flexible, with availability for midweek evening shifts and some weekend shifts.

Requirements

• Current RLSS Pool Lifeguard Qualification or NPLQ equivalent (essential for Lifeguard roles)
• Occupational First Aid qualification (essential)
• Recognised Swim Teacher qualification (essential for Swim Teacher roles; an advantage for dual-role candidates)

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensuring the safe, hygienic, and efficient use of the swimming pool in line with club policies and procedures
• Maintaining constant surveillance of pool users
• Acting promptly and appropriately in emergency situations to ensure patron safety
• Performing water rescues and administering first aid where required
• Providing emergency care and treatment until emergency medical services arrive
• Preparing and maintaining incident, activity, and operational reports
• Operating, checking, and maintaining poolside equipment
• Ensuring poolside areas and associated facilities are kept to a high standard of cleanliness
• Supervising pool changing facilities
• Delivering high-quality swim instruction in line with programme standards (Swim Teacher roles)
• Undertaking other reasonable duties as required to support the efficient operation of the Sports & Leisure Club

Pay: €13.50-€20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 10 per week
