The Role:

The position of Logistics Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating the delivery of safe, efficient and effective logistics to KTrans clients, adhering to contractual obligations. As the Logistics Supervisor, you are responsible for ensuring KTrans’ high quality and premium service are maintained whilst communicating directly with clients in a customer-facing position. You will lead your team by being engaging, driven and operating with a proactive mindset and ensuring both yourself and your team maintain the company’s ‘Five Pillars’ culture.

Responsibilities:

• Sound knowledge and understanding of client contracts regarding KPI’s, rates and delivery expectations.
• Daily communication with transport and warehousing supervisors to ensure all ad hoc transport requirements for contracted client are being met.
• Effective communication with client representatives to ensure they feel they are a business partner with KTrans.
• Ensure all freight, demurrage and other costs are charged as per contract rate card weekly.
• Provide on call after hours operational coverage for the transport team on a rostered basis with other supervisors and transport leads.
• Ensure accurate, up to date performance information reported weekly to the Head of Transport & Logistics.
• Assist Head of Transport & Logistics with monthly reporting, invoicing and contract feedback.
• Prioritise and multitask in a high-pressure environment, providing support to peers for business outcomes.
• Ensure all TMS bookings submitted by client and/or raised internally are rated according to the contractual rates, closed once delivery is completed with priority to ensuring profitability on each booking.
• Effective management of logistics mailbox, ensuring all parties are communicated with in a high level of customer service within appropriate time frames.
• Commercial and EoM reporting to the senior leadership team as required.
• Preparation and meeting lead of monthly customer KPI pack presentation.
• Seek out value add opportunities with contracted clients.
• Scheduled annual field visits, customer sites, fresh eyes to other company/client sites and operations.
• Effective rostering and coordination of site-based personnel, equipment and training.
• Ensure training and compliance for all direct reports
