CEH Machinery Trading Ltd is a growing machinery sales and rental company based in Scarborough. We specialize in construction equipment and offer flexible solutions including equipment sales, rentals, and lease-to-own options. Our product categories include excavators, skid steer loaders, cement mixers, dumpers, compactors, mobile lighting, lifters and more. We also offer Canada-wide delivery.
Position Summary
We are hiring a full-time Outside Machinery Sales Representative to support the growth of our equipment sales business.
This is not a passive sales role. The successful candidate cannot rely only on walk-in traffic. We are looking for someone who can proactively go out, identify opportunities, build relationships, and generate business through outreach, prospecting, site visits, and follow-up.
The ideal candidate must already have relevant machinery sales experience and understand how to work with customers in industries such as construction, landscaping, property maintenance, contracting, and other equipment-user businesses.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively develop new business through cold calling, prospecting, networking, site visits, and direct outreach
- Identify and approach contractors, landscapers, small construction companies, property maintenance businesses, owner-operators, and other target customers
- Generate sales opportunities instead of relying only on walk-in traffic
- Build and maintain strong long-term customer relationships through regular contact and in-person visits
- Understand customer jobsite and business needs, and recommend suitable machinery and equipment solutions
- Promote the company’s machinery inventory and sales programs professionally and effectively
- Prepare quotes, pricing, and sales-related documents
- Follow up with leads consistently and move opportunities through the sales pipeline
- Coordinate with internal team members to support smooth delivery and customer handover
- Provide regular updates on outreach activity, pipeline progress, and closed business
- Represent the company professionally in the field and help grow market presence
Qualifications
- Must have previous machinery sales experience or directly related construction equipment / heavy equipment sales experience
- Proven ability to generate business through outreach and field sales
- Strong understanding of machinery applications and customer needs
- Comfortable with cold calling, prospecting, visiting customers, and developing business in person
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated, organized, and results-driven
- Able to work independently and take ownership of sales performance
- Fluent English required
- French is a strong asset
- Valid driver’s licence is a strong asset
Compensation & Benefits
- Base pay: $22.00–$25.00 per hour
- Commission on sales
