Responsibilities

Your main duties as a Maintenance Assistant will be:

• Ensure that maintenance and repair work on the property is carried out as required
  
• Ensure that all areas are left in a neat, clean and safe condition after maintenance work has been carried out
  
• Observe all safety procedures and rules in order to prevent accidents resulting from any maintenance activity
  
• Communicate with your Manager on all serious maintenance issues and report on the progress of maintenance on the property
  
• Ensure that OH&S and HACCP standards are maintained and adhered to
  
• Ensure all work is carried out to the highest professional and Safety standards possible
  
• Assist as part of the team responsible for the routine maintenance and upkeep of the hotel facilities, and refurbishment of hotel facilities and services

About The Role

Requirements

Proven experience in a similar role

• Self-motivation and the ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to recommend and implement improvements in their department or the hotel in general
• Health & Safety knowledge and awareness
• Plumbing & or Painting and decorating experience would be an advantage however not essential
