Our company, a logistic management, distribution and warehousing enterprise is expanding and requires the right person to join their team and contribute to the on-going success of their operation.
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Warehouse Maintenance and cleaning clerk. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in building maintenance, cleaning, and basic mechanical or handyman work.
Main Tasks:
- Ensure forklift and pallet jack (transpalette) batteries are charged and inspected regularly
- Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs on forklifts
- Handle general handyman tasks: minor repairs to doors, windows, locks, furniture, etc.
- Carry out general building and site maintenance across our facilities
- Complete basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical tasks when needed
- Clean and maintain all areas of the warehouse: offices, hallways, bathrooms, break rooms, locker rooms, stairs, windows, and warehouse floor
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust using appropriate cleaning equipment
- Replace lightbulbs, clear snow and ice from entrances and emergency exits during winter
- Perform general painting jobs as required
- Collect and dispose of garbage and recycling
- Complete other tasks assigned by the Warehouse Director
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years experience
- Being responsible and autonomous
- Ability to communicate well in French and /or English.
Assets:
- Experience in warehouse maintenance (essential)
- Forklift driving (asset)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Expected hours: 40 per week
