Property Services Assistant (Maintenance/Caretaker) Position Available

A dynamic private school with two campuses is looking for two motivated Property Services Assistants to help maintain and enhance our facilities. You will thrive in this role if you love a fast-paced environment with always something to do, have a keen eye for spotting maintenance needs and enjoy getting things done efficiently and to a high standard. Depending on the day’s requirements, you may work independently or collaborate with others to ensure the smooth running of the school.

Key Skills Required:

• Skilled in multiple trades (e.g. tiling, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, etc)
• Proficient in the safe use of power tools and machinery
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Capable of adapting to workflow changes and adjusting priorities when necessary.
• Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines.
• A safety-conscious approach to all tasks.
• Network cable wiring is a plus.
• Fluent English

Duties Include:

• Performing maintenance, repairs, and improvements in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, tiling, painting, and gardening (grass/hedge cutting, litter pick-up, flower planting).
• Upkeep of company vehicles and arranging NCT appointments as required.
• Assembly, disassembly, and relocation of furniture across both campuses (located within 10 minutes of each other).
• General upkeep to ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment.
• Improvement projects (e.g. changing floors, repurposing rooms, insulating, etc.)

Requirements:

• Garda vetting clearance carried out by us (must be completed before work starts).
• Full and clean Irish driver’s license.
• A firm but kind character, ensuring a balance of diligence and cooperation.
• There will be a practical element to the interview, where you can showcase your skills.
