The Role:

The Assistant Restaurant Manager is a multifaceted role that combines operational oversight with strong administrative capabilities. This position requires not only leadership and customer service skills but also the ability to manage the administrative aspects of running a restaurant efficiently. By blending these two skill sets, the Assistant Restaurant Manager ensures smooth day-to-day operations while supporting the Restaurant Manager in strategic planning and organizational tasks.

This is a full-time role in a restaurant open 7 days a week, with working hours ranging from 5:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Please note that there is a busy catering season from October to April.

The pay rate will be between $25.00 and $30.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

● Assist in managing the restaurant’s daily activities, including opening and closing procedures.

● Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels.

● Address customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback to maintain high satisfaction levels.

● Foster teamwork and resolve conflicts among employees.

● Assist in budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting

● Analyze sales data and generate reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.

● Oversee the maintenance and troubleshooting of point-of-sale (POS) systems and other technology.

● You must be willing to work both in the busy restaurant kitchen and at off-site catering events in our region.

What do we need from you to be successful for this role?

● 3+ years relevant work experience in administrative department.

● Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.

● Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with staff, customers, and vendors.

● Quick decision-making to address operational challenges.

● Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.

● Precision in handling financial records, schedules, and compliance documentation.

● Ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.

● Familiarity with restaurant management software systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)

● Strong understanding of financial principles and budgeting.

● A full driver’s license is mandatory.
