We are now looking for a Manager Treasury Controlling to join our Treasury Operations . This position is located in Helsinki but we work combining office days and remote work . We are looking for a person for a fixed time position to cover maternity leave , starting January 1 st 2026 and ending March 31 st 2027 .

Stora Enso’s treasury handles an array of responsibilities including long-term financing, financial risk management, cash and liquidity management, relationships with financial institutions, debt investor relations, financial advisory, forecasting for the Stora Enso Group and its companies, as well as treasury controlling, working capital management, and credit management. Treasury provides Stora Enso with high quality financial market services, innovative solutions to enhance the Groups’ customer offering and flexibility to support the strategic transformation.

As a Manager of Treasury Controlling y our role encompasses taking ownership of the concepts regarding Stora Enso's accounting, controlling, and reporting for significant financial items such as loans, deposits, currency, interest rate, and commodity hedges. You will also be responsible for the forecasting and management reporting of the group's financial items, providing insightful management information and accounting advice to wider Treasury function. Additionally, you will monitor subsidiaries’ reporting and transactions related to foreign exchange, interest, and other financial items. Your coordinating efforts in the preparation of notes for the Interim and Annual Reports related to financial instruments are crucial.

A significant part of your role involves following up on Treasury-related IFRS developments and leading the implementation of relevant accounting standards, including IFRS 18, within the treasury. Furthermore, you will handle auditor cooperation and the development of internal controls, ensuring that the Treasury can focus on making effective decisions, facilitating transactions, driving cost efficiency, and managing associated risks.

Y ou will work together with your treasury operations colleague s, establish excellent relations to other internal and external stakeholders.

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a highly qualified candidate to join our team, bringing a robust background in accounting and controlling for financial instruments. The ideal candidate should possess at least few years of relevant experience, backed by a university degree in Economics or similar .

U nderstanding of financial accounting and IFRS practices is essential, with specific expertise in IFRS 9 and IFRS 7 standards and hedge accounting practices . The candidate should also have a solid grasp of financial instruments and familiarity with consolidation systems and Treasury management systems .

The ability to coach and review the work of colleagues in Treasury reporting and accounting areas is crucial, alongside solid verbal and written communication skills in English. We value strong problem-solving skills, a proactive approach, and the willingness to lead initiatives and work independently. Flexibility to adapt to changing situations, creative thinking, and the ability to deliver results within the required timeframe are also important. The candidate should be motivated to serve both internal and external stakeholders with a customer-friendly approach and act with high respect to uphold our values and policies.
