**Job Title:** Marine Electrical & Mechanical Technician

**Location:** The Boat Yard, South Bank Quay, Dublin

Role Summary

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Marine Electrical & Mechanical Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and inspection of vessels, managing workshop schedules, and supporting survey preparations. This role requires strong hands-on technical expertise, attention to safety standards, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a multi-skilled team.

Key Responsibilities

· Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on vessels (AC/DC systems, engines, insulation, onboard systems).

· Manage workshop organisation and scheduling of vessel maintenance.

· Assist in vessel survey preparation and compliance with safety checklists.

· Diagnose and repair faults in electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.

· Support general marine operations, including boat handling and quay/harbour maintenance.

· Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.

· Collaborate with colleagues and management to ensure efficient operations.

Requirements

· Hands-on experience with marine electrical and mechanical systems.

· Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in varied conditions.

· Excellent time management, initiative, and teamwork abilities.

· Competence in general boat handling

· Ability to prepare clear and concise reports.

· Powerboat Level Certification

· Forklift Certification (required)

· Basic First Aid

· STCW training (can be provided)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From €30,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
