Are you a hands-on B2B Marketing professional who wants to grow aftermarket business?
At Valmet, we are shaping the future of sustainable packaging and paper solutions through innovation, collaboration, and a seamless lifecycle approach. Join us in advancing the packaging and paper business, as we move forward with our renewed strategy to Lead the Way. This means pioneering smarter technologies, expanding our service capabilities, and delivering customer value across the entire lifecycle—from raw material to finished product. If you're ready to make a real impact in a dynamic, future-focused environment, we invite you to grow with us.
We are looking for a Marketing Manager to join Valmet’s Packaging and Paper marketing team and play a key role in developing and executing services marketing across global markets. This role is ideal for an experienced, pragmatic marketer who enjoys working close to the business, sales, and service experts, and who knows how to turn installed base, lifecycle data and customer needs into measurable commercial impact.
This position can be located in our office in Jyväskylä, Tampere or Vantaa.
Your responsibilities
- Translate services business objectives (parts, field services, fabrics, stock preparation) into clear marketing priorities, content and customer value, and plan, execute and continuously improve demand generation and services marketing initiatives, especially for installed base customers.
- Collaborate closely with sales, business management, technical experts and global marketing colleagues to ensure strong alignment and tangible business outcomes, while developing and executing campaigns that support services sales.
- Create and maintain marketing assets—including value propositions, customer cases, digital content and sales materials—and support event marketing for customer events, webinars and trade fairs with a strong service and aftermarket perspective.
- Own performance tracking covering leads, pipeline contribution and conversions, turning insights into concrete improvements, and actively contribute to digital and marketing automation development, particularly in installed base marketing.
- Ensure alignment with Valmet’s strategic themes, brand guidelines and ways of working.
Expectations for you
- Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- +5 years’ of relevant marketing experience, preferably in an international B2B environment, with proven experience in B2B marketing—ideally within aftermarket, services, parts or lifecycle‑driven business—and experience working closely with sales and service organizations in an industrial or technical B2B environment.
- Strong understanding of the customer lifecycle, installed base marketing and value‑based selling.
- Solid background in digital marketing, combined with an interest in data, analytics and AI‑supported marketing.
- A hands‑on mindset with the ability to execute campaigns yourself, supported by a structured way of working, strong ownership and the ability to drive things to completion.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
To succeed in this role
You are a doer with experience, not just a planner. You succeed when you combine strong B2B marketing expertise with the ability to turn complex technical or service offerings into clear value for customers. You thrive in close collaboration with sales and services organizations and enjoy hands-on execution. You are comfortable using data and insights to drive continuous improvement.
We also expect you to align with Valmet’s Leadership Principles—practical behaviours that guide how we lead, collaborate, and succeed together:
- Take accountability – Act with ownership, set clear expectations, and follow through;
- Lead with courage – Champion change, try bold ideas, and learn quickly;
- Build on trust – Listen to understand, be open, and create psychological safety;
- Collaborate for growth – Work across boundaries, value diverse perspectives, and focus on customer value.
We offer
You will have a meaningful role in a global B2B business where marketing is closely connected to commercial results, along with the opportunity to work hands‑on with aftermarket and service offerings that are essential to customers’ operational performance. You’ll collaborate closely with experienced colleagues in marketing, sales and services around the world, in an environment that values clarity, focus and continuous improvement, supported by agile marketing practices. You will also have opportunities to deepen your expertise in digital marketing, lifecycle marketing and AI, while benefiting from professional development in a global technology company. The role comes with a hybrid working model and competitive compensation and benefits aligned with Valmet’s practices.
